The Culinary Institute of America project won two national awards in 2005/2006 for the SRS Leveling System.

First, architects needed to find a way to support special waterjet-cut Hanover pavers in odd shapes and sizes which formed a "spirograph" look for a 50' diameter water feature at Anton Plaza in front of the prestigious cooking school's main administration building .  The support system would have to be 18" high, avoid numerous water feature fixtures installed under the paver deck, and appropriately interface with swooping, curving and angular pavers in a variety of sizes.  SRS was the answer.  In the surrounding plaza, SRS was also used as 15" -18" pedestals for Hanover 3'x3's in a stacked pattern, and for logo-engraved 6'x6'x6" granite slabs.  While we were at it, we created a green-roof containment wall for the large surrounding planted areas: we widened the terminal SRS pedestals, those at the edge of the paver field, to create what was in effect a continuous wall of polystyrene foam to contain the soil (see detail, in details section).   1" gaps, backed with vertical filter fabric, were left every 12" in this wall to allow drainage from the green roof soil to the deck.    Also, heavy planter urns were installed on SRS, with circular SRS containment walls around those, to allow for base plantings around them.
